Leadership Team

Su Mittra

Su (she/her) founded Davis Square Runners in 2011. In that first year she and the 11 other regulars formed a judgement-free running group that was focused on making friends and socializing. She has been running since 2001, raced in many 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, and several ultras. While you will usually find her leading Tuesday night road runs, she much prefers trail running while barefoot in the forest.

Professionally Su owns a landscaping company and co-founded Pride on Foot, an LGBTQIA+ advocacy group. In her free time she loves to garden and do woodworking.

Katie Weaver

Katie Weaver (She/Her) ran off and on before joining DSR, but struggled to keep up with it, particularly through the dark, cold winter months.  Katie joined DSR after running her first half marathon in 2015.  She was thrilled to find a group of people that ran rain, or shine, or snowstorm… and hasn’t stopped running since.  DSR has introduced her to new friends, trail running, and countless outdoor adventures and she hopes to share some of the joy that has brought her with others.

When not running Katie is likely cooking, baking, skiing, sleeping, or possibly working at her job managing Sales Operations for a small company that makes Ballast Water Treatment Systems.

TJ Poole

TJ (he/him) first realized he enjoyed running while serving in the Army. “Jogging around singing cadence. It was like the Pirates of Penzance.* It was great,” TJ says. But it wasn’t until he joined DSR that running really became a passion. He’s done races from 2-ish miles to 30 miles, and loved almost all of them. He enjoys roads and trails but mostly runs on roads, because they are closer to his front door. TJ is proud to be part of the DSR leadership team and hopes that he is able to bring some of the joy and friendship that he has gotten from the group to other runners, fast and slow, new and old, whatever.

Professionally TJ is a physical therapist assistant, but he doesn’t know what is wrong with your foot, ankle, knee, head, etc.

*TJ has never seen the Pirates of Penzance.
