We are doing something a little different this year for our annual event–Scavenger Hunt!

Some of you have previously done Scavenger Hunt events, this one will be similar and a bit different.  Each team will get a list of landmarks. The landmarks are not going to be specifically spelled out for you, but you will have some clues. Run to each landmark and take a group picture, and rack up points.

The event will run about 2 hours and then stay for Race awards, runner awards, and a cookout! As in years past, this annual event is also our big donation drive, we ask for donations to keep event prices low, and help keep our group running.

This year’s event will be starting in Arlington, exact location will be given to registered participants.

Who: A total of up to 5 teams of 4 runners each.  (20 people max)

What: A trail run scavenger hunt for DSR.

When: May 10, 2025, 9:00 AM. 

How much: $20

Where: Arlington, MA, exact location TBA

How it Works: Each team will be given a list of landmarks.  Your team’s goal is to find each landmark and take a group picture with it.  There will also be added bonus locations that teams can navigate to.  Teams can expect to run about 10 miles as part of the event.

Scoring: Teams are awarded 5 points for each marker, and 2 points for bonus locations. Most points win, if there is a tie in points fastest completion time wins. The winning team will get some sort of prize, and of course most importantly, bragging rights 🙂

Location specifics: We will be starting in East Arlington near Route 16.
